Q:
What is a manufacturer's representative?
A:
An agent of a manufacturer who is their local representative in
a specific territory. The agent, or rep, is empowered by contract
with the manufacturer to serve the customers of the manufacturer
on its behalf. Manufacturer's representatives are independent contractors
with multiple product lines.
Q:
Do you sell directly to the public or trades?
A:
No. As a factory rep we transact only with wholesalers, distributors
and dealers. Please contact us
for showroom locations. Additionally, our products can be ordered
here by linking to an online dealer.
All dealers linked on this site are independent of our rep agency.
We assist consumers and specifiers with product specifications and
dealer referral.
Q:
Can you send me brochures on your products?
A:
Yes, if your address is in our assigned territory of Northern California
or Northern Nevada. Email
us your postal address and request "Brochure Packet".
If you are in another area, please contact the given manufacturer(s)
directly. You can get their addresses from the Manufacturers
Address Directory.
Q:
Where can I see your products on display?
A:
There are displaying dealer showrooms throughout Northern California
and in Reno. Contact us via phone (650-948-3900) or Email
and we will tell you the locations in your area.
Q:
Where can I buy parts for one of your products?
A:
If you know where the product was purchased, go back there. (Take
your receipt with you.) Our products are quite specialized and parts
will have to be factory ordered. Sometimes the factory office can
be helpful. (See Manufacturers
Address Directory.) When calling, ask for assistance with "identification
and specification" of replacement parts. Then ask for a dealer
location. Or get the local rep's phone number and call them for
a local dealer referral. (Also, check our "Product
Service" page.)
Q:
Why is Myson better than lower priced brands?
A: Myson's electric towel
warmers are called "Electric Oil Filled". The units are
filled with mineral oil which is heated by an electric element.
This method provides an even, smooth delivery of heat to the entire
rail surface which reuslts in optimum heat transfer to the towel.
Often, less expensive brands use the "Dry Element" method.
There is no oil inside. Rather, there is a long heating wire which
travels throughout the inside of the rails. This method causes hot
spots where the wire happens to contact the rail and blank spots
where it is too far from the rail. The result is uneven heat transfer
and inferior performance.
Q:
Can I add bath oils, gels and such to my whirlpool tub water?
A: Consult your manufacturer.
Most say no oils because oils contribute to buildup in the piping
system and pump. Powder or crystal additives are okay. Just be careful
not to add so much as to cause excessive bubbling.
Q:
Should I order an in-line heater when I specify my whirlpool
tub order?
A: Usually yes. Tub water
begins to cool immediately from surface contact with the cooler
air. When the whirlpool is turned on more cool air is mixed with
the water causing more temperature loss. An in-line heater will
add back a small amount of heat. Usually enough to offset the air
mixture loss. To save $300.00, skip the heater add hot water from
the faucet.
Q:
How can I clean the pipes on my whirlpool tub?
A: Aquatic Industries
suggests the following recipe: *Fill the tub with HOT water to a
level 2" above the highest jet. *Add to the water two (2) teaspoons
of low-sudsing automatic dishwashing detergent and up to four (4)
ounces of household bleach. *Run the whirlpool for 10 minutes. *Drain.
*Refill with COLD water. *Run for five minutes. *Drain.
